What we collect

We collect the email address and professional information (work experience, education, skills) you provide when using CVTailor. We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.

How we use it

Your data is used exclusively to operate CVTailor: generating tailored CVs, evaluating them against job descriptions, and importing CV content. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties except the AI provider (Google Gemini) that powers CV generation and import.

Data storage

Data is stored on servers in the EU. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Browser extension

The CVTailor browser extension reads job listing details (title, company, description) from pages you open on supported sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, Ruby on Remote, We Work Remotely) so it can pre-fill a new CV or job entry on CVTailor. This data stays on your device until you click "Generate CV" or "Save Job" in the extension, at which point it is sent to CVTailor and nowhere else. The extension does not transmit data to any third party, does not track your browsing, and does not collect analytics.
